About Us

Natures Pet Pantry has been a dream of ours for years! It all started when I (Leah) went to Australia to visit my family. They were feeding their dogs raw, now this was 2015, I had never heard of raw before. After speaking to my uncle about his paleo/hunter gatherer diet and how he fed his dogs, it sparked something in me. As soon as I got home I started the process of switching my dogs diets and the research began! 

At the time I had Princess and Empress, Empress had such a sensitive stomach and there wasn't much she could eat without being sick. After moving her on to a raw diet this improved massively. I then started researching dog treats. I was horrified that I was feeding my dogs absolute rubbish for years and I had no idea. We trust when we're buying things from big brands and well known shops that we're doing the best by our dogs but I soon found that I was very wrong! Every thing filled with sugars and huge amounts of chemicals! What was the point in feeding them the healthiest diet I could and then giving them treats that were basically 80% chemicals?!

Fast forward 9 years, Empress has sadly passed away, she left a huge hole in our heart and lives. Princess became really depressed, not eating or wanting to go on walks. I knew we needed another dog in our lives. We found Winnie, a little fluff ball that is, lets say, very spirited! Again I started to look into puppy friendly diets, then on to treats. As I said, she's a spirited little dog, always running around crazy and trying to find something to demolish, we needed to find some puppy friendly treats that would satisfy her chewing instincts and keep her occupied for a while but everywhere I looked 'RAWHIDE', sugars, a huge list of ingredients that I couldn't even pronounce! Unfortunately not a lot of pet owners realise the dangers of these ingredients, equally they don't realise the true benefits of a species appropriate diet.

 We had discussions for years about starting a business selling all natural dog treats. It wasn't until we got Winnie that we realised just how bad the dog food/treat industry is, and we knew we wanted to do something. 

We would love to eventually be a one stop shop for all home pets dietary needs, but we'll start with treats for now! Natures Pet Pantry has been set up with animals health and wellbeing in mind, there is nothing we sell that we wouldn't feed to our own girls. Looking into raw feeding and species appropriate diets can be so daunting but we have done the research so you don't have to!  

We don't just want the best for our dogs, we want the best for ALL dogs!
